Managing Food Allergies in the School Setting
This Managing Food Allergies in the School Setting video was produced by the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) in partnership with National School Boards Association (NSBA), National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). This 20-minute video resource helps parents and schools build effective partnerships for managing students with food allergies at school. It features real life experiences of parents of children with food allergies, and some common sense practices by school board members, administrators, nurses, teachers, food service workers, and other school staff. The video clearly highlights the successes that can be achieved when parents, health care providers, and school staff work together for the benefit of children with chronic conditions.
