SFSP - Returning Non-SFA Sponsors
**VERY IMPORTANT** ALL STEPS OF THE APPROVAL PROCESS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO SERVING MEALS FOR REIMBURSEMENT. MEALS SERVED WITHOUT FINAL WRITTEN APPROVAL (FROM THE STATE AGENCY) TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SFSP PROGRAM WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED.
There are 5 major steps needed to be approved and to begin operation of the program. This approval process applies to Public or Private Non-Profit organizations that have not participated in the Summer Food Service Program under the NC Department of Public Instruction.

|5||FINAL STATE AGENCY APPROVAL||CONGRATULATIONS! Sponsor may begin to operate the Summer Food Service Program after final approval. New sponsors will be notified of official approval via written Approval Letter.|
